Minimal Waste Living Talk
€6.15
This is a talk on practical small changes to make in the home to live more sustainably, with minimal waste, while significantly reducing your reliance on single use plastic. We will be showing you how to use what you have and make the most of having less.
The talk will be given by Eibhlin Fitzpatrick, owner of The Refill Mill Mullingar. Eibhlin ‘walks the walk’ when it comes to minimal waste living; like many young people, she spent some time travelling the world before returning home. Unlike a lot of people, however, Eibhlin learned a lot about ‘living with less’ on her travels, and put the courage of her convictions into opening a retail outlet that actively encourages a minimal waste lifestyle. Her shop has since gone on to win awards for retail excellence and her passion for reducing waste (particularly single-use plastics) is as strong as ever. The Refill Mill has a loyal and growing base of happy customers who know that they’re assured of a warm welcome, friendly advice, and learning new ways of thinking about how they can reduce their ‘global footprint’ every time they visit.
Putting our minimal waste tips into practice will help you to move away from single use plastics and help you save money! The money you DO spend is more likely to benefit your own local economy, so it’s good news all round.
Refreshments will be served on the day.
This talk will be held in Lowe and Co. Athlone on Thursday June 15th from 11am to 12pm.
